Where I live in Europe, it’s becoming very hot. Scorching days and that don’t let up throughout the day.
That means that I’m walking about with a cold drink in my hand most of the time.
Today, I made Blueberry Smoothies as soon as I got up — a refreshing breakfast, and very more-ish.
Smoothy making is not hard, and it only takes a few minutes to get to the drinking.
Here’s a couple of Smoothy recipes that will get you on your way to delicious tasting drinks.
The basics of .smoothy making is Frozen fruit chunks, coconut milk, and added juice that you can buy in any supermarket.
Of course, your home made fresh fruit juice is a big plus if you prefer.
Frozen Blueberry Smoothy
Takes about 5–7 minutes to make, and it’s important that you have frozen Blueberries which you can purchase at a supermarket.

Servings: 6 Glasses
- Electric hand mixer or Smoothy maker
- Large container for the juice, one that fits into the fridge
- Glasses, tall or short
- 1 x 500 gram frozen blueberries buy in the supermarket somewhere around the ice cream section
- 1 litre Pack Juice — Apple juice is best, or your favourite choice
- 1 400 ML Coconut Milk, the whole can goes into the mix
Put the Coconut Milk into the drink mixing container, it might be solid, so spoon it out and use some apple juice to swish the rest out of the can.
Place the whole bag of Frozen Blueberries into the Coconut milk
Add a lot of juice from the tetra pack, until it covers the frozen blueberries
Put it into the smoothy mixer, or use the hand held mixer/whisk to whisk the ingredients into one complete smoothy. Keep it going until you feel that everything looks pleasantly smooth and easy to drink.
Serve by pouring into glasses, put the container with the rest of the drink into the fridge. It should be good for a day or so after.
There are many different types of smoothy, and all of them are an experiment, some tried and tested, some that will never again see the light of the kitchen.
