I spent a week in England by Poole Quay Harbour. In summer, it’s a tourist attraction, now it’s November, the streets are free for the locals to freely wander without the crowds.

I did ask myself what on earth I was doing by going to a rainy, windy, chilly England in November, but the results were well worth the trip.

It rained each day, apart from one. I managed a few shots along the harbour, where a mixture of fishing vessels and tourist boats were shored up for the winter.

Crow Standing Guard

If you’re not careful, a seagull will swoop in and steal your fish and chips straight from your fingers — regardless of causing injury. It seemed to me that they’ve given up on this game for the winter.

I saw seagulls sitting around, looking bored, and crows swoop down, grab a nut between their beak, flutter upwards then drop the nut onto the concrete; they were trying to crack the nut.

Below, the infamous bench at sunrise shot. I keep trying. One day, I’ll figure out why I find the light and shadows of park benches so…
