There is a secret to be found on the street. Many people never discover it, they don’t see it because they don’t look for it. It’s the secret that gives meaning to our everyday lives. For that to happen you have to get involved, take action. Go out onto the street with your camera and take a lot of photos.

When Lockdown was first announced in Berlin, where I live, I thought it was the best idea to beat this virus that started entering our vocabulary last January, February, time.

Two kids are talking, it’s cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey, and the teacher who’s doing monitor duty refuses to allow the kids into the classrooms. When the sports whistle signals that breaktime is over, the kids can go into the warmth. Apparently, freezing your knees off in winter weather is good for you.

When we walk and breathe, become aware of sounds and smells, vibrations and sights around us, a new experience of body and mind in unity comes into play.

The city is like a forest, when I want it to be. Other times, it can be a maze of dark and dangerous streets. It is always intriguing, it doesn’t have to be “nice” to be intriguing.
